WHAT IS ADBLUE®?
AdBlue® is essential for the operation of emission control systems and is required for most modern diesel vehicles. A solution of 32.5% technical grade urea in deionised water, AdBlue® is added to the Selective Catalytic Reduction system in the exhaust, converting the harmful nitrous oxide (NOx) emissions into nitrogen and water vapour, reducing air pollutants by up to 90%.
QUALITY & CAPACITY
AdBlue® is manufactured in our Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA) certified plants across Australia and New Zealand in accordance with ISO22241. Every batch of Ecoblue AdBlue® is certified by a NATA accredited laboratory before it is made available to the customer. This means, every drop of Ecoblue AdBlue® delivered is guaranteed to meet OEM SCR specification.
Ecoblue AdBlue® is controlled, recorded and 100% traceable at every stage of production and delivery. From the specification of the urea and demineralised water at manufacture, through certification, dispatch, and delivery to our customer.
Since the urea shortage in 2021, Ecoblue has developed a robust Supply Chain Risk Mitigation Plan which includes:
- Expansion of stock-holding capabilities of technical grade urea
- Increased bulk storage capacity
- Expanded truck fleet
- Diversification of suppliers to include five new geographical supply sources
DIVERSIFICATION OF SUPPLY
In late 2021 the global supply of technical grade urea was disrupted, causing challenges in the supply of AdBlue® across Australia.
As Australia’s leading supplier of AdBlue®, Ecoblue worked to overcome these obstacles and continued to support our clients’ requirements during the crisis.
